The people series #2
"Hi, how was your day?"
It's the first question I get when I walk through the door. We don't just stop at Hi. I could say it was good but then they'll ask ;
"What did you do?"
"How was it."
"Did you..?"
And then it's a whole half hour conversation . Especially if they're not at home, they have to call and ask, Hi how was your day?
In this people series let's talk about the people that are there for us, mostly because they have no choice but also because they are the most important parts of our lives . Family. General word applicable to all sorts of people in our lives. To all the people that really want to know how you're doing. To all the people that at the end of the day make you put things in perspective and finally say, hey it really was one hell of a day. To all the people that listen. To all the people that wish you all the best. To the ones that encourage you and keep you going. To all the moments in life that happen and the first thing you do is make a mental note to tell. For all the people you are thankful to have in your life. To all the constant reminders that you're doing your best. To all the people that make you want to be a better version of your self. For all the memories that make you sigh and smile yourself silly. For all the people that appreciate every single little thing. For all the lessons learnt and to be learnt. For all the forgiveness to go around. And for all the grammatical errors in here that I hope you won't mind( I heard you're not supposed to start your sentences with for and to. I might have also used the word people too much), I hope you take a moment to appreciate the little things. But more importantly in this mental health awareness era, do ask, Hi how was your day. And really listen.
